About us - and some history about our kennel Hiti
My name is Birgit Sundby. I'm breeding Jack Russell Terriers under the prefix "Hiti" (FCI-approved in 2006). From 1984 I've been active on dog-shows and I have
done field training + obedience training with my dogs. (Labrador Retriever, Curly Coated Retriever, Golden Retriever, Irish Wolfhound, Norwich Terrier and since 2003 Jack Russell Terrier)
In 2003 I imported "Blazeaway Tiramisu" from Mr. and Mrs. Knowles, Vic., Autralia. In 2006 I imported "Absolute Aida Of Mayo Land" from Mrs. Leclerq, Marc., France. Hiti Claire Cordelia is Misu's daughter. Hiti Frida Flor is Claire's daugther and Misu's granddaughter.
My husband, Carlo Hansen is DK-wellknown NSU/DKW and Puch enthusiast - but he also loves our Jacks!
We live in Koege about 40 km south of Copenhagen.
I have
exported puppies to Germany, Norway and the Netherlands.
Feel free to contact us if you wish to learn more about the breed.
Hiti - in some sort of English...
About the "Hiti"-name - and something more During the summer 1999 I visited the Solomon Islands. I was lucky to travel together with good friends, who could tell me a lot about the remote country and people living there. I also heard about the Hitis, who - according to the tradition - lived in the islands Bellona and Rennell when the present
polynesian inhabitants arrived 28 generations ago. They met the Hitis who were "fit for fight" - maybe a little "jack-like"? However, I chose this name for my kennel. On my return from the Solomons I visited my dear friends Viki and Barry Knowles in Victoria, Australia. I had to visit them because I personally wanted to thank them for the Curly Coated Retriever, "Blazeaway Sonov Satan"/Victor (from Viki in Victoria ) which came to us in 1995 and through all the 11
1/2 years he was our darling "boy". Always happy, always in the mood of making fun. We lost him the 22nd of June 2006. However, little did I know how this visit should influence my "dog-life" - because I met the Australian Jack and fell head over heels for him. Four years later "Blazeaway Tiramisu" arrived in Denmark. We simply love her! - She is the best!!
I also admire her for being such a fantastic mother.... Her first litter have Polynesian names. The 2nd have Bell/Belle in their names. The 3rd have "C"-names "Cody Culbert" (little handsome ) and "Claire Cordelia" (pure juwel ) The 4th have "E"-names: Hiti Earl Ezra (warrior/ assistant ) and Emmeline Elfin (nurse/ elf )
